I’m an American who woke up breathing a bit easier on Wednesday morning. But only because I feel that what is to happen globally in the next few years will require the US to have a strong leader. I can say from living through many election cycles, it’s always the same with one side rejoicing and the other feeling it’s the end of the world. Obviously this is not the case. We have strayed so far away from our Founder’s original intent for a U.S. limited government experiment that where we are going as a nation is truly into the unknown. We’re all just going to have to let the tidal wave hit as it does and then find our places and roles as we move through and past it.
I can say though that I deeply feel what you are saying about the feeling of being naive in seeing beyond someone’s surface actions to who they are as simply another human. In fact it was your last post on Aquarian insight where you mentioned trying to think of someone or something that you hate to find what you are fighting for. And I found for the first time that I could not find anything that I hated. Even thinking back through history and prominent figures and movements. It’s almost like I can no longer tap into that feeling or emotion. Strange. But also really eye opening for myself.
Thanks for continuing to share your voice in anyone it comes through! Always gives me something to think about.

I just posted the audio for a children’s book I wrote back in 2019 that I had briefly published and then lost touch with. It’s a simple story, but one I feel deeply for. Reconnecting with it recently, has re-opened the door to me getting out of my comfort zone to start sharing my writing again. And in new ways. Curious to see where it goes!
Wow, man, this so true. I am and should remember my position in my situation and the power I have others aren't always fortunate to have. I think I've noticed how caught up in my own situations, how I'm not showing up as I need to in my world, my family and for my friends. It's so insane how you're able to articulate how the hope in each other stemming from the fear and dissatisfaction of all of us. And I couldn't agree with you more, if a government is not assisting it's people, the government serves no real function. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, this was not only leveling in a grounding, healthy way, but it's moved me to feel more compassion in a time of despair.

But, as you said, our family, our friends, the people in our lives help bring us back to a more centred place, where we realise we are more than just what goes on inside of us.
